Work at NKC

Blasting

NKC’s blasting department includes one large and two smaller steel shot blasting machines, giving us flexibility in processing a wide range of components. The large blasting unit can handle parts with a diameter of up to 2,500 mm and a height of up to 600 mm, while the other blasting equipment processes parts with a diameter of up to 1,200 mm and a height of up to 400 mm. This capacity ensures that all products receive a clean, uniform surface, ready for further machining or surface treatment.

How it works!

Blasting is a surface treatment method in which abrasive media, such as steel shot, is propelled against the workpiece to remove rust, contaminants, or previous coatings and to create a clean, even surface.

At NKC, both large and smaller blasting systems are used depending on the component’s size and requirements. The large blasting unit handles heavy and oversized components, while the smaller units are used for smaller parts. The process improves surface quality, prepares the surface for subsequent treatments such as painting or phosphating, and ensures high repeatability and consistent quality in production.
